High Mast: From Steel Plate to a Fully Fabricated Structure
HighMast

High masts are commonly found in areas that require wide-range illumination from a single point. Since these structures can reach heights of several dozen meters, they require a fabrication process that differs from conventional lighting poles.
One of the commonly used materials is steel, which is processed into various pole components according to the design and project specifications.
Starting with Steel Plates
Before becoming a high mast, steel plates are first cut to the required dimensions. The plates are then formed into sections or segments with specific dimensions.
After the forming process, the sections are joined through welding. Since a high mast consists of a tall structure, the accuracy of each segment is essential to ensure that all components can be properly assembled at the project site.

It Is Not Just About the Pole
A high mast does not consist only of the main pole body. Several supporting components also need to be manufactured according to the design, including the base section, connections, and components at the top that support the lighting equipment.
Each component has its own function and must be manufactured to the correct dimensions so that all parts can work together as a complete structural system.
Finishing Is the Next Step
Once fabrication and inspection are completed, the steel surface needs to receive suitable protection for outdoor applications. This protection is important because high masts are continuously exposed to environmental conditions over the long term.
Processes such as galvanizing can be used as one method of protecting steel surfaces, particularly for applications where corrosion resistance is an important consideration.
From raw steel plates to a fully fabricated high mast ready for installation, every stage requires precision. The quality of a high mast is ultimately determined not only by its size, but also by the quality of the material and fabrication process behind it.
